Built for an association that supports local development projects. Three hours of retyping per file before the tool, a few minutes today.
The starting point
Every project goes before the board with its funding contract, on the funder's own template. The assistant opened the right file, kept the team's software in another window, and retyped about thirty details. Three hours per file, and mistakes found at signing time.

The tool follows how you already work
Every step already existed. The tool doesn't replace it: it copies, computes and files. The decision stays with the team.
Open the document to produce
BeforeHunt for the right template in the shared folder, and check it is the latest version.
With the toolOne click from the document's row. The funder's template is already open, picked from the project.
The values arrive on their own
BeforeTwo windows side by side, and about thirty details retyped by hand.
With the toolThey are read from the template and filled from the team's software. Each one says where it came from.
Validate, correct inside the document
BeforeSkim the document, and find the mistake when it is time to sign.
With the toolThe preview shows the document as it will come out. You tick each value, click a zone to correct it.
Create, name, file
BeforeSave as, find the project's folder, and follow the naming rule from memory.
With the toolThe document is created, named with the project's number, filed in the right folder. The tracking updates itself.
What the tool does
The right template, on its own
The team keeps its document templates, one per funder. The page opens the one that matches the project, with no hunting.
Values already filled in
Project name, owner, date, number of days, amount: it all arrives from the team's software. All that's left is checking.
Validate, then correct
Each value is ticked off one by one. A wrong value is fixed in one click, right inside the document preview.
Created, named, filed
The document lands in the project's shared folder, under the right name. The tracking table marks the item as ready.
Frequently asked questions
Day 1: the documents in a file, your templates and what they contain. Day 2: the screen that fills and files, tested on a real file. Day 3: the letters, the tracking table, going live.
No. The tool reads the markers straight from your own template files. You keep them, you edit them as usual, the tool follows. Adding a funder means dropping its template into the list.
You fix it on the spot, by clicking it in the preview. The fix stays on the file for the next documents. Nothing is created until every value has been looked at.
